BAT FINANCE TEAM IS LOOKING FOR A TEAM LEAD - PLANNING & REPORTING

SENIORITY LEVEL: Non – Management

LOCATION: Sunway Geo Tower, Bandar Sunway

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Serve as an independent contributor for a component of the Record to Report function inclusive of Forecasting Activities, Month End Close, Statutory & Financial Reporting, Management Reporting, Data Integrity and Quality;
  • Act as a key business partner to Commercial Finance and Operation Finance team to support the delivery of financial targets for Forecast and Actuals reporting, in line with the agreed IBPM deliverables and timelines;
  • Track, monitor and analyse monthly key performance indicator trends of Volume, Cost of Sales, Other Income/Expenses, Foreign Exchange fluctuations and Marketing Investment expenses by performing variance analysis;
  • Lead monthly alignment meetings with Commercial Finance and Operation Finance team to facilitate high quality monthly forecasting rhythm in delivering consistent business storytelling across functions;
  • Liaise with relevant parties across functions for billings and accruals tracking to transform into accurate financial postings
  • Deliver accurate and timely financial analyses and commentaries for Forecasts and Actuals reporting to support Limited Risk Distributor (LRD) market entities across different time zones;
  • Responsible for BPC input mainly on Cost of Sales transfer pricing drivers and other input forms in line with BAT Group requirements during Forecast and Actual reporting cycles;
  • Assist end market queries and troubleshoot BPC/SAP reporting system(s) to ensure accurate reporting and system controls for Forecasts & Month End Activities to drive a robust set of financial information for strategic outcomes
  • Provide support on ad-hoc analyses and automation projects to deliver additional non-standard details to key members (e.g. quarterly commentaries) to support business decision and simplification.
  • Support in Group and Local reporting activities, produce reliable and accurate financial statements reconciled based on IFRS and local accounting system, by ensuring the reported data are in line with local and group requirements and accounting standards.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification; at least 2 years of experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment.
  • Understand the impact of the accounting process and practice (IFRS and group reporting guidelines). Good knowledge of Management Accounting techniques in relation to Profit and Loss Statement and Balance Sheet
  • Understand the platforms and analyse reports, identify issues and challenges within reports functionalities and data; A thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, specifically BI/BPC, SAP or ERP equivalent
  • Attention to detail, analytical, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision; Knowledgeable in identifying risks and in implementing controls
  • Business Partnering skills - ability to develop good working relationship with key members. Apply a commercial approach to all activities.
