ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
This role drives strategic finance and commercial operations in Switzerland. Operating in a dynamic environment, the position plays a key role in coordinating financial activities, implementing commercial initiatives, and managing relationships with business partners. The role offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration, financial planning, and stakeholder engagement.
This role is a 6-months temporary contract.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- To proactively support the Commercial management decision making process, as to improve value for money in marketing investment and to favor a profit and cash-oriented approach.
It provides marketing management with:
- Financial information and understanding.
- Key leading and lagging performance indicators to help it formulate:
- Relevant business plans; and
- Capital and operating budgets.
- Facilitating sound business and investment decision making
- Efficient resource allocation process
- Accurate Marketing Investment reporting in line with group standard with support of COMFOM team located in GBS hub
- Enhanced MI analysis through new KPIs (i.e. MSE)
- To provide proactive financial and analytical support on a wide range of strategic business projects. Ensure that all business and financial considerations are incorporated to make sure all project deliverables are grounded on sound financials.
- To assist the trade teams in understanding, implementing, and analysing a TCI (Total Customer Investments) led approach in the business. Relevant financial analysis, modelling and recommendations to this end is provided.
- Assist Senior Commercial Finance Manager in the preparation of key analysis and presentations for senior information packs. Provide financial and managerial insights into all presentations.
- To help marketing management with the development and implementation of practical procedures that ensure a high level of internal control exists both within the department and where appropriate within external parties working on our behalf.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
An energetic and positive team-player with a proactive, persuasive and creative attitude and you are prepared to challenge exiting ideas. A self-starter who can work independently and have a flexible attitude in a constantly changing business environment, whilst providing financial insights regarding the impact of the marketing strategies.
- Degree in Business or equivalent
- English, (both spoken and written), knowledge of French and German is desirable
- Business and project oriented
- Effective leader of new initiatives
- Excellent communicator and motivator of change
- leadership and management skills to inspire, motivate and empower team.
- Understanding of marketing principles and marketing strategy.
- Understanding of brand/customer profitability.
- Understanding of distribution and logistics.
- Understanding of marketing and sales systems.
- Understanding of pricing and excise management
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint, SAP, BPC and Power BI.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proven commercial awareness to be able to identify and analyse business risks and opportunities in marketing operational business
- At least 5 years commercial business experience
