Role summary
The Continuous Improvement & Projects Manager is a strategic role responsible for driving operational perfection, process optimization, and project management within an organization. This professional plays a meaningful role in identifying areas for improvement, implementing change initiatives, and ensuring efficient project execution. The role requires a blend of analytical skills, leadership, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Process Improvement and Optimization
- Find Opportunities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
- Lean and Six Sigma: Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Data-Driven Approach: Apply data analysis to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for optimization.
- Continuous Improvement Culture: Foster a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.
- Preventive Maintenance Processes: Prioritize preventive maintenance strategies to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Project Management
- Project Planning: Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation for process improvement initiatives.
- Partner Management: Engage with partners at all levels to ensure alignment, handle expectations, and drive project success.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and mitigate risks associated with process changes and project implementation.
- Project Execution: Oversee project execution, supervise progress, and ensure timely delivery.
- Performance Metrics
- Define Metrics: Establish key performance indicators to measure process efficiency, quality, and effectiveness.
- Monitor Performance: Regularly supervise and analyze critical metrics, making data-driven decisions to achieve performance targets.
- Continuous Monitoring: Implement systems for ongoing monitoring and reporting.
- Collaboration and Leadership
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as operations, quality, and IT to drive improvements.
- Leadership: Inspire and empower teams to embrace change, adopt standard processes, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Innovation: Encourage innovative thinking and creative problem-solving.
Qualification & experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Operations).
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) is highly desirable.
- Shown experience in process improvement, project management, and organisational change.
- Ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and propose effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership abilities to inspire change and influence partners.
