British American TobaccoUK has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Treasury – Centre & DRBU, in London
The Head of Treasury - Centre & DRBU will lead the implementation of the Treasury functional strategy across the Central Functions, above-market trading companies and relevant Direct Reporting Business Units (DRBUs).
Treasury management includes financing business operations, implementing efficient capital structures, running financial and foreign exchange risk, protecting and mobilizing cash assets, handling banking relationships, and contributing to the implementation banking infrastructure and solutions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide business partnership to the Central Functions, above-market trading companies and DRBUs to support the delivery of the Strategic Leadership Agenda, business plans and results
- Set and own the above-market trading companies and DRBUs funding plan within the net finance cost budget, including the structuring of optimal solutions, delivering the governance and owning the execution
- Manage financial risk across the Central Functions, above-market trading companies and DRBUs, including foreign exchange risk, trapped cash and financial counterparty risk
- Promote and handle treasury operations in alignment with the Treasury Operating model
- Promote and drive adherence to the Global Treasury policy and Treasury Control framework
- Promote and lead a philosophy of continuous improvement with regards to Treasury management, including the adaptation of the Centre and DRBU treasury management to be fit for purpose for a multi-category business
What are we looking for?
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Professional financial qualification, ideally an advanced qualification issued by the Association of Corporate Treasurers
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Knowledge of corporate finance and international treasury management
- Owning the identification of financial risk in a commercial business
- Leading the structuring, decision making and execution of financial solutions
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence
- Building and operating internal networks on an international dimension
- Experience taking care of financial institutions and other external partners
