OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Undertake audits relating to IT, Digital, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy within the BAT Group (or its suppliers) and report findings of internal audits using structured tools and techniques to support the audit process.
Deliver independent and impactful assurance through risk-focused and relevant audits, for shorter and sharper reviews that are meaningful, commercial and constructive.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
·Participate in or lead less complex audits in IT, Digital, Cybersecurity and Data Privacy audits, in order to form an independent and objective view on risk management practices and the internal control environment by:
oIdentifying significant business risks in processes, projects and programmes, services, systems and applications.
oPerforming systematic audit tests over the controls identified for testing, including the use of data analytics tools and techniques.
oAssessing the design, operating effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls over risks.
oAssessing whether Management action plans for control breakdowns fully address the root cause, design and operation of the identified issues.
oAgreeing action plans with Management that are meaningful, to bring about the necessary improvements in the controls environment and mitigate business risks.
oWriting reports for Management and that clearly and accurately explain the audit findings, their cause and business impact.
oEnsuring all audit work is fully documented within the Audit Management System in line with ‘The IIA Global Internal Audit Standards’ and ‘BAT’s Business Audit Methodology’.
- Promote data analytics usage and developments through the use of analytics tools and techniques, including automation.
- Promote positive reputation of the Internal Audit function through effective working relationships with Management teams and suppliers.
- Provide expert advice, assurance and auditing in the areas of risk management and controls of IDT, project and change management programmes.
- Support the engagement with external auditors, when required, responding to queries and information requests relevant to the external audit activity.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Degree educated with relevant professional qualification.
- Globally recognized professional certifications in IT, Digital, Cybersecurity, Data Privacy and Internal Audit, are recommended but not a mandatory requirement.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional
- Certified Information Security Manager
- Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer
- Certified Information Systems Auditor
- Certified Internal Auditor
- Experience with accounting firm and/or corporate industry experience.
- Experience in a global FMCG industries or similar dynamic operating environment and a good understanding of the tobacco business.
- Knowledge of internal audit practices, principles and procedures.
- Experience in generally accepted IT and Cybersecurity frameworks and best practices.
- National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework
- Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- Control Objectives for Information and Technology (COBIT)
