British American Tobacco Papua New Guinea has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Manager in Port Moresby!
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support the achievement of business performance targets by monitoring and reporting on key financial indicators to partners and the executive team through SOP cycles and budget reviews.
- Conduct monthly planning and review of financial results, ensuring alignment with the Finance Management Framework, SOP forums, and area/regional forums while actively tracking the delivery of key performance indicators.
- Foster a cost-conscious culture by regularly reviewing project costs, overall profit and loss (P&L), and overheads against planned expenditures. Drive budget through monthly and quarterly reviews.
- Planned and reported monthly financials (profit & loss and cash flow), quarterly performance review (QPR) reporting, and other financial information.
- Demonstrate proficiency in financial reporting tools such as SAP, and BI.
- Manage the Company's budget two-cycle strategic plan for the current year and the next.
- Coordinate and manage internal or external audit and compliance processes, ensuring timely and complete delivery of critical reports.
- Provide inspirational leadership to the Corporate Finance team, setting goals and direction with the Company's vision, mission, and strategy.
- Enhance the quality and capability of the finance function by fostering a solid talent pipeline within Corporate Finance and the broader finance team.
- Conduct annual formal performance appraisals promptly and provide constructive feedback.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Financial Analysis, Accounting or related fields
- Profound knowledge of financial reporting systems and financial strategy
- The ability to link the global finance vision with the local finance vision and the company's operations is preferable.
- Specific technical knowledge in Financial Reporting and Disclosure, Strategic Management Accounting, and some areas of Company Tax reporting.
- Demonstrated expertise in leadership and management theories.
- Essential skills: Financial analysis, budget management, familiarity with financial tools/systems, process improvement, exercise clearance management, audit, and compliance
- Educational background in Business Management, Finance, or Accounting
