We have an exciting new opportunity for a dynamic and innovative individual to join our team in Global Travel Retail (GTR) as the Europe Logistics Operations Manager. This role is at the forefront of GTRs European Operations business driving our key value of Passion to Win, ensuring our customer orders are fulfilled on time and in full, proactive resolution of supply challenges and maintaining a high level of warehousing standards at our 3PL site in Poznan. In addition to core logistics and warehousing operations responsibilities, this role will lead innovative interventions in the manufacturing processes to ensure our repacking facility in Poznan has the best quality products for our consumers. The role is part of the GTR Poznan SC leadership team, and expected to lead and contribute in shaping GTR Poznan team to be high performing team in years to come.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead dedicated team in a spirit of expertise, performance, and collaboration while representing BAT GTR externally and serving as a role model for the Poznan Team
- Responsible for the 3PL management of end-market appointed logistics providers and ensures that all locations operate to the business defined standards and ways of working, monitor performance and service delivery
- Responsible for the Repack execution performed by 3PL in Europe WH including process and supplier management
- Represent and drive from the end-market perspective business processes for warehousing, transport, and customs ensuring high level of service to GTR customers
- Plan, organize and lead successful stock counts at assigned locations ensuring on-going stock control, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation processes are performed
- Manage, review, and monitor business controls in logistics functional areas, notably track and trace compliance, customs compliance, stock control, product handling and hygiene standards.
- Responsible to plan and manage budgets for assigned business activities, cost centers and projects, including suppliers’ invoice verification.
- Establish and embed a Continuous Improvement culture and Zero-loss mentality within key internal and external working groups
What are we looking for?
- Demonstrated experience in warehouse and logistics operations managing a complex network of products, customers and mode of transports
- Strong knowledge of enterprise and warehouse management systems such as SAP WMS, JDA, Blue Yonder or similar
- Experience with budgetary responsibilities and management
- Excellent analytical skills, rigor, and attention to the detail alongside resilience and ability to make prudent decision in ambiguous situations
- Learning agility and people agility, with demonstrated team management experience
- Effective communication with various stakeholders of diverse cultural and geographical background
- Problem-solving skills and ability to provide effective escalation and support point
- Languages: English - fluent speaking and strong writing, Polish.
