British American Tobacco Italia is seeking a talented and innovative IDT Business Analyst to join our Information & Digital Technology team based in Rome. This role is pivotal in enhancing our digital presence and driving customer engagement through Connected Apps, Ecommerce, and CRM technologies.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Technological Roadmap: Propose and implement the technological roadmap to support the business strategy, in agreement with the IDT Marketing Technology Manager.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Provide expertise in D2C Digital Channels, including but not limited to eCommerce websites, CRM and Marketing Automation tools, mobile applications, loyalty programs, platform management • Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital Marketing Department to ensure innovative multi-channel end-to-end strategies for the constantly evolving digital ecosystem.
- Data Analytics & Insights: Utilize data analytics and insights to drive digital marketing key performance metrics (e.g., acquisition, conversion).
- Digital Channel Development: Constantly strive to optimize systems to support new touchpoints to increase the reach of the digital channel, providing thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
- Connected Apps: Develop and manage Connected Apps to enhance customer engagement and provide seamless digital experiences.
- Technology Partnerships: Identify and partner with the right technology suppliers and specialists to enhance digital marketing results.
- Budget Management: Plan, track, and report on the digital marketing budget aligned with the current planning and reporting structure.
- Compliance: Collaborate with BAT Legal teams to ensure digital initiatives meet required local legislations.
What are we looking for?
- Educational Background: Degree in Information Technology or related field or relevant equivalent experience.
- Professional Experience: Between 3-4 years of experience in similar roles, with experience in designing and implementing direct-to-consumer marketing technology.
- Project Management: Robust experience in project management, with experience delivering through Traditional & Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, and waterfall). Professional certification in digital technologies (e.g., APIs, Cloud, etc.) and Agile Project Management (e.g., SCRUM, PMI, etc.) are considered a plus.
- Marketing Principles: Strong understanding of key marketing principles, with previous experience in consumer goods or retail industries preferred.
- Digital Technologies: Experience in eCommerce platforms (Magento, Shopify, Adobe Experience Manager; other Adobe suite tools are considered a plus), CRM and Marketing Automation tools (Salesforce, Hubspot), Data and analytics (PowerBI) and systems integration tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Must be fluent in English and Italian, while other languages are considered a plus.
- Soft Skills: Experience in a complex and multicultural environment, must be able to manage time and priorities autonomously, be proactive and be able to manage different levels of stakeholders
- Others: Office suite (in particular Power Point and Excel); Figma, Canva and PowerApp experience is considered a plus
