British American Tobacco has an exciting opportunity for aCorporate & Regulatory Affairs Manager in Taipei, Taiwan
The Corporate & Regulatory Affairs Manager is primarily responsible for working to shape the regulatory, fiscal and trade environments to protect BAT’s ability to differentiate, communicate and sell our products. Through proactive and strategic engagement, we develop and deliver advocacy campaign to address the key issues that may affect the Group’s growth strategy.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Analyze the public policy and regulatory environments to identify risks and opportunities which affect the company
- Develop critical foresights on current and emerging regulatory issues
- Identify and mobilize third party associations, coalitions, and key opinion leaders
- Provide primary business intelligence on marketing activities from government sources and secondary intelligence on market and business development of competitors to drive the company’s activities stay ahead in gaining driven edge
- Handle internal communications to implement strategies to improve employee engagement and alignment with company goals and build content for internal channels such as newsletters, intranet, and emails.
- Ensure consistency in corporate branding across all platforms and elevate corporate branding to craft company reputation
- Develop content strategies and lead storytelling efforts to improve corporate visibility in social platforms: internally on Yammer; externally on Facebook and LinkedIn
- Support Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs, TWC to implement and perform overall regulatory affairs for Taiwan Cluster (Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao)
- Collaborate with other functions to build campaign plan and on the strategy for establishing relationship with government institutions, for company policy initiatives
- Act as ESG committee lead to collaborate with teams to plan and execute ESG initiatives
- Identify and engage with key partners to advocate tobacco harm reduction and pave the way for New Category products in Taiwan
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8 years of relevant working experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English and Chinese
- Good teammate with the ability to work collaboratively with team members across functions and geographies
- Possess strong analytical skill and sound knowledge of current local and international affairs
- Dedicated individual with ability to take initiative, exercise sound judgement and make good decisions in the face of uncertainty
- Strong advocacy, communication, presentation, and consensus-building skills
