WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TERRITORY MANAGER

  • SENIORITY LEVEL: G33= Experienced, Non-management
  • FUNCTION: Marketing
  • LOCATION: Timmins & Surrounding Area

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

This role is part of the Commercial Marketing team.

The role is responsible for delivering commercial and consumer performance within an assigned geographical area. This will be accomplished by building strong customer relationships with retailers & staff and leveraging both commercial insights and digital assets to meet consumer needs.

Reports to: Business Area Manager / Strategic Area Manager

Reporting Level: No direct reports

Geographic Scope: Local

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Manage your territory to achieve volume and market share targets, contributing to national, regional, and district objectives.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience by:
    • Leveraging digital tools to maintain strong business relationships.
    • Training retailers and their staff to effectively represent our brands.
    • Responding to questions and concerns promptly.
    • Monitor contract compliance and share tailored insights to drive performance.
  • Ensure market demand for our multi-category products by:
    • Maintaining adequate inventory levels and attaining distribution targets.
    • Reducing out-of-stock (OOS) instances.
    • Implementing effective merchandising strategies.
    • Ensuring competitive pricing across all product categories.
  • Drive performance in a highly regulated market.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Experience Required

  • 1 – 3 years’ relevant work experience (ex: marketing focused role)
  • Previous experience in an FMCG or a global organization.
  • Strong extra-curricular participation record (ex: case competitions, academic student groups, sports teams etc.)

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Aspire to an experience which offers daily opportunities to learn and grow.
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong business insights, strategic approach, and account management capabilities.
  • Energetic, driven and autonomous.
  • Proficiency with digital tools and interpreting commercial data to identify business opportunities and put plans into action.
  • Ability to focus on a long-term objective, while capitalizing on short-term opportunities.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or a related field
  • Hold a valid driver’s license in any one of Canada’s provinces or territories.
  • Possess the current legal right to work in Canada.
  • Fluent in English
