IDT Senior Business Analyst

Job Description 

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The role is responsible for supporting the IDT Manager in collaborating with multiple partners  and translating our vision into technology solutions that drive value in the constantly evolving customer and consumer digital ecosystem. This role collaborates with E-Commerce, Digital Activation, and other teams to improve customer happiness through digital experiences.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

Lead to:

  • Part of complementary teams to understand functional demand and translate this into clear requirements using a range of techniques such as eliciting & documenting requirements (demand collection), conducting gap analysis, preparing cases, requirements analysis and usability evaluation and testing.
  • Closely work with IDT Product Management Team to deliver the vital capabilities, coordinate the delivery end-to-end solutions, and lead the user acceptance testing.
  • Overall digital architecture and collaborate to ensure conformance to process and standard methodology.
  • The creation and maintenance of the local operational IT plan (including IT projects, Critical BAU IT activity, IT Service Improvement, and IT Security)
  • Analytics & insight knowledge, experience with key performance metrics for both customer and consumer.
  • The delivery of the functional portfolio, guaranteeing accomplishment of goals, schedule, cost, resources, quality, and alignment with global structures.
  • Communicate status of the functional portfolio for marketing and commercial stakeholders
  • Review of agreed functional performance indicators including return on investment, proposing improvements, and capitalizing on opportunities.

CORE RELATIONSHIPS

  • Functional representatives (Marketing, Commercial, Legal, Finance etc. ): credible and strong working relationships and keeping up to date with business priorities. Ensuring the functional user communities are represented and considered as part of IDT initiatives and the IDT landscape.
  • Product Management Team: Engage and collaborate on digital product strategy, design, and delivery.
  • Commercial / Vendor management: Collaborate in effective supplier management and to develop and improve supplier management of service providers.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Digital technology experience in a global environment, with a degree in an IT-related field or equivalent relevant experience within a FMCG or digital organization.
  • Familiar with requirement & demand collection and its translation into visual representation allowing clear communication with various delivery teams.
  • Aware of key marketing digital principles: consumer centric and journey, user experience, target audience, media planning, etc. & trade marketing principles: B2B, Trade Effectiveness and Efficiency
  • Experience in Business Intelligence tools with experience translating data into valuable insight for data driven decision making.
  • Professional certification in digital technologies and Agile Project Management (e.g. SCRUM, PMP, etc.), and Product Management knowledge are desirable.
  • Facilitation and influencing skills with ability to work in a matrix and fast paced environment.
  • Confidence, good experience, and knowledge to continuously improve with collaborators and delivery teams.
  • Leadership to empower team to build outstanding products and processes.
  • Business-level English is required, and business-level Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) is preferred.

SPECIALISATION KNOWLEDGE

The focus of the role will be mostly on Consumer Activation with the following specialisation aspects that are preferred in a candidate:

  1. Consumer Activation – must have the
    1. Understand the Consumer activation models/metrics, CRM/CMS/Ecommerce/Mobile technology enablers to be able to lead or support core Marketing Activation initiatives.
    2. Understand the User Journey / Agile methodology, implementation experiences as advantages.

  1. Demand Management
    1. Practical experience in business needs analysis, demand prioritization, requirement documentation and related tools such as ServiceNow, Asana, Azure DevOps, etc.

  1. Agile Methodology
    1. Advanced knowledge of Agile working methods e.g. Scrum/Kanban
    2. Comfortable working with enterprise-level platforms and technologies
