British American Tobacco Poland has an exciting opportunity for an IDT Finance Business Partner in Warsaw
The Finance Business Partner plays a pivotal role within the DBS – IDT Team, focusing on driving financial field and cost management for DBS Functions. Will play a pivotal role in providing financial expertise and strategic support to cross-functional project teams. This role focuses on aligning financial objectives with business goals, ensuring the delivery of succesfull project outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Prepare and deliver monthly accurate financial information pack relating to the Benefits and Cost tracking (Budgets, Forecasts and Actual results), in line with the contract and group accounting policies for the P&L, BS and Cash Flow
- Monthly budget variance analysis engagement with respective project holders including functions
- Budgeting Reporting into BPC or PLW system
Business Partnering:
- Collaborate with partners to provide insights and recommendations for scenario modelling
- Acts as a liaison between Finance and IDT teams to resolve financial queries such as PO and payment requests and ensure seamless communication.
- Work with service providers to ensure benefits or costs are correctly calculated, authorised, invoiced, and recorded.
Period Close & Management
- Maintain and update actual financial trackers, perform pre-close reviews, manage month-end closing activities (journals, interco accruals, reclassifications), track actuals against plan, and conduct post-closing reviews with the business.
Reporting & Governance:
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring cost centres remain updated through proactive management of journals, intercompany cost recharges, employment cost reclassifications, and GL changes
What are we looking for?
- A degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) are a plus.
- Proven experience in financial management within IT or project environments is preferred.
- Proficiency in financial systems and tools, such as SAP, BPC, Power BI
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and partner management skills.
- Experience in managing tasks independently while fostering teamwork and collaboration
