WE ARE LOOKING FOR A LEAD MANAGER - IT MANUFACTURING SUPPORT

SENIORITY LEVEL: Junior Level

LOCATION: Winston Salem, NC

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

Reports to: Digital Business Solutions; Manufacturing Engagement Director

Number of Direct Reports: N/A

Core Relationships: Internal – Operations Manufacturing and all subfunctions, IT Security, IT Services and IT Infrastructure, IT Data & Analytics

External-Application and Infrastructure Support Vendors

Geographic Scope: Local US

Travel Required: 10%-25%

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Implement and support sophisticated manufacturing applications from design to Hypercare, ensuring alignment with client demands and system/process solutions.
  • Serve as a productive project team member, delivering high-quality results for assigned tasks. Assist project managers with planning, developing work plans, test plans, effort estimates, and timelines.
  • Collect requirements from business partners for improvement requests and Azure DevOps (ADO) tasks related to the MES application.
  • Optimally engage with clients and contracted vendor services, providing input to supervise and improve vendor performance. Collaborate with partners to identify and quantify the business value of requests.
  • Advise on system improvements and optimizations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Test, integrate, and maintain technology services, considering cross-functional business needs and company goals and coordinate issue resolution with cross-functional teams and vendors for the assigned departments of support.
  • Demonstrate IT Department services acumen and leverage existing IT services to meet client needs.
  • Leverage AI and machine learning technologies to optimize manufacturing processes, predict maintenance needs, and enhance decision-making capabilities and implement Artificial Intelligence driven solutions to analyze data and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Shown experience of 3 years with manufacturing systems processes, systems architecture, and systems support or highly shown experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT-related field. Candidate willing to pursue further education in IT-related field.
  • Basic coding and programming experience is required, with a preference for familiarity with languages such as Python, Java, or SQL. This will aid in the development and troubleshooting of manufacturing systems and the implementation of AI and machine learning solutions.
  • Confirmed experience in leading and handling full-time employees and vendors, both onshore and offshore and excellent client-facing, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic and driven with excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, co-workers, and project team members.
  • Strong strategic, logical/analytical, and creative thinking abilities and strong understanding of data models, systems landscapes, integrations, and interfaces. Firsthand technical experience and understanding to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Experience working in a challenging environment with a sense of urgency and excellent organizational and time management skills, with diligence and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Must be a self-starter who can work with minimal direction and as a motivated and coordinated team member and proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, Planner, etc.), ADO, and SharePoint.

BENEFICIAL

  • Industry Experience: Experience in manufacturing or supply chain-related fields.
  • Certifications: Traditional Project Management or Agile Training/Certifications is a plus.
  • Regulatory Experience: Experience with FDA-relevant systems and/or processes and computer system validation.

  • 401(k) plan that offers opportunity to save on pre- and post-tax basis up to 50 percent of eligible compensation.
