Sourcing Manager

The Sourcing manager will be responsible for the entire Adria, directly reporting to the Senior Sourcing Manager.

The role is responsible for the company’s end to end sourcing of products and services (indirect materials) essential for company’s operations. Position includes all phases of sourcing that require the skills necessary to identify cost savings opportunities, create competitive environment, creatively negotiate, support contracting process to assure availability of all products and services to support company objectives and protect company from unfavourable conditions.

To support execution of global sourcing, where required, and facilitate the implementation of above-market projectsTo collaborate with the local partners ensuring the delivery of both their service requirements and those of Procurement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Understands customer requirements including their business goals to be able to deliver business benefits
• Responsible for the development and execution of sourcing plans within the End Market/Cluster and  made valuable contributions in terms of high level service and savings
• Communicates appropriate supply chain and procurement messages regarding strategies, process and policies to customers, to ensure compliance and engender a common understanding of each other’s goals and targets
• Leads the process of sourcing execution to ensure delivery of the collaborators requirements and targets
• Collaborates effectively with the Global Procurement team on above-market initiatives building strong business relationships with the end market/cluster collaborators
• Shares knowledge and expertise with the other EM and leverage where appropriate
• Challenges demand and requirements and lead customer expectations to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement while supporting the business in driving business agenda and playing a role of procurement business partner supporting the smart spend management and supplier management
• Adhering to and conducting activities in accordance with the laws and bylaws rules related to the environmental protection, safety at work and fire protection, and internal EHS standards and procedures of BAT Group

What are we looking for?

• At least four (4) years purchasing/strategic sourcing experience; working knowledge of MS Office, Coupa being a plus.
• Graduate in Economics or Engineering
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to develop and maintain effective partnerships working across geographic boundaries
• Proven negotiation skills and influencing skills: able to influence business partners and suppliers as well as the ability to be assertive if required to ensure compliance to contract.
• Full understanding of the category total cost model, cost drivers and all factors needed to ensure a robust agreement for BAT (including specification and testing requirements).
• Professional knowledge of procurement principals, including high order negotiation skills.
• Excellent analytical, presentation skills and project management
