British American Tobacco Ghana has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager – Planning and Reporting in Accra
The primary responsibility of the role is to proactively support the delivery of Statutory & Management Reporting information Management information will include financial information and scenarios required for DRM meetings, budget and actuals. This will include data inputs, running the forecasting process activities, preparation and generation of financial information and quality review prior to releasing to the customer for approval. The objective of the role is to meet the business objectives by providing quality financial reporting information and analysis support.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Driving a robust forecasting process, including being able to dynamically remodel scenarios as assumptions change. This involves engagement with partners across a number of functions, locations, and time zones. Supporting monthly planning (SOP) exercises including adhoc tasks.
- Drive direct and indirect Cash flow forecast process and ensure reaching half year & full year ambition
- Participates in planning process, controlling, reviewing and validating financial data to provide management with timely and accurate financial information to enable effective and efficient decision-making
- Develop and review financial insights to support management in delivering key performance indicators
- Investigating and responding to ad-hoc queries relating to financial performance, across Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow. Involved in cashflow forecasting.
- Provides support with the delivery of financial information and commentaries for Forecast, Budget and Actuals reporting, in line with the agreed deliveries of our stakeholders & as per agreed timelines
- Analyse current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of Revenue, Cost of sales, Marketing Investment expenses.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in business & economics & accounting & finance.
- Professional accountancy qualification i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA will be an added advantage.
- At least 4 years of finance/accounting experience
- Possess high potential, strong technical and interpersonal skills. Good understanding of accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP etc)
- Effective communication skills, mentor/leadership skills and extremely dedicated.
- An ability to work with all levels within the organization & experience in managing senior stakeholders.
- Capable of analyzing financial impact and providing insights to business strategies also understanding of strategy and financial management processes.
- Able to demonstrate the need for, and ensure implementation of, appropriate systems and controls.
- Able to drive projects and process improvements and handle a remote customer base model
- Meticulous, analytical, proactive, and can work under pressure with minimum supervision.
