British American Tobacco Bangladesh has an exciting opportunity for a Litigation & Corporate Counsel
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and oversee litigation, regulatory, compliance, and corporate legal matters across the business.
- Provide timely and practical legal advice to cross-functional teams on a broad range of laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with external counsel, regulators, law enforcement agencies, and other external stakeholders.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business.
- Maintain litigation databases, legal trackers, risk registers, and governance processes.
- Lead Anti-Illicit Trade (AIT) initiatives and support enforcement activities to protect the business and brands.
- Support investigations, regulatory inspections, security incidents, and crisis management situations.
- Drive compliance awareness, training, governance initiatives, and legal control requirements across the organization.
What are we looking for?
- A bachelor’s degree in law, with qualification to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Experience in litigation management, corporate legal advisory, compliance, or regulatory affairs.
- Strong knowledge of litigation processes, corporate laws, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to engage senior business leaders.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple complex matters in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
- High integrity, sound judgment, resilience, and the ability to make balanced risk-based decisions.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
