ROLE SUMMARY
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital procurement processes and platforms.
The Digital Platform Lead is responsible for improving the adoption, performance, and value realisation of digital procurement platforms. This role acts as the product owner for assigned platforms, ensuring they are optimally embedded in business processes and deliver measurable benefits. The Digital Platform Lead works closely with Digital Product Managers and the Head of Procurement Excellence to drive user engagement, training, and continuous improvement, with a strong focus on functional adoption and platform performance.
This role goes beyond technical platform management—it is about empowering procurement teams to work smarter, faster, and more collaboratively by embedding digital tools at the heart of procurement operations.
ROLE DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Serve as product owner for assigned digital procurement platforms, leading all aspects of their lifecycle from deployment to continuous improvement.
- Supervise platform performance, user engagement, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate adoption and training programmes to improve user onboarding and effective platform use.
- Develop and implement strategies for platform feature expansion and value realisation (“sweat the asset”).
- Collaborate with Digital Product Managers, IT, and business partners to capture requirements and ensure platforms meet functional needs.
- Analyse adoption metrics and user feedback to find opportunities for increased efficiency and value.
- Champion standards in digital platform use, encouraging a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Support organisational change and communication efforts to ensure successful platform adoption across the organisation.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
- Understanding of digital procurement processes, platforms and their functional use.
- Experience with process and platform performance monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Ability to design and deliver effective training and adoption programmes.
- Track record in driving user engagement, training, and organisational change for digital solutions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret adoption and performance data.
- Excellent communication and partner leadership skills.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications in product management, procurement, or digital transformation (e.g., Agile, Lean Six Sigma, CIPS, etc.).
BENEFICIAL
- Experience with procurement technology solutions (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba).
- Experience with generative AI, process mining, or conversational AI in a procurement context.
- Exposure to global procurement operations and large-scale technology rollouts.
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience (e.g., MBA, MSc) or specialized training in digital product management.
