British American TobaccoUnited Kingdom has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Process Design Lead (flexible location)
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure completeness of delivery to functional process scope proposed under the Pulse Programme to deliver the Global Tax template process design, group relevant and market specific Legal, Fiscal and Regulatory (LFR) requirements.
- Understand the enablement required for Tax and related processes across technology platforms, industry solutions, external partners and services, and implications on controls to meet BAT’s needs
- Manage delivery of input to delegated approvers (i.e. Finance, Marketing and Operations Leads) of the proposed mapping and redesign of Tax global template, including implications for Group Policy, process flows, data and controls.
- Alignment with CoEs, Process Experts, Shared Services teams and external partners to embed best practice, challenge the status quo, ensure external partner readiness, and deliver measurable improvements and business value
- Promote Compliance best practices internally and externally, positioning as an enabler of growth and transactional compliance.
- Input into and understanding of cost drivers (functional and system) and business run implications for process design and solutions proposed
- Collaborate across functional and process teams, global external partners and facilitate workshops and feedback sessions to capture operational needs and concerns to ensure integration.
- Contribute and coordinate input to Business Readiness and Change management teams to ensure operational feasibility and adoption of new ways of working and solutions.
What are we looking for?
- Strong leadership skills with experience in high performance teams and delivering at pace.
- Deep knowledge and experience across Tax processes and BAT business models design, with working knowledge and use of SAP ECC, and the interdependencies across functional processes, business models, legacy systems and external partner delivered services,
- Experience of digital and SAP enabled Tax process change implementation and management, including optimization and process execution.
- Strong stakeholder engagement experience, including management of eternal specialist services partners (i.e. Tax and LEX) with excellent relationship management and influencing skills; able to build trust and gain buy-in from decision makers.
- Experience in a complex multinational, operating in regulated industries with multiple product categories/divisions, requiring complex cross-functional processes and design.
- Demonstrated success in developing skillsets and performance in complex and large-scale change projects.
- Ability to operate in a matrix structure and manage competing project and organizational priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to articulate complex functional and solution concepts to diverse stakeholders, including BAT leadership and external partners.
