What are the key objectives and expectations from this role:
Drive Regional Planning process to review, control, and manage the delivery of Group targets for Net Turnover, Operating Profit, New Categories Contribution, Operating Cash Flow and Free Cash Flow. Supervise monthly management reports on current performance and updated forecasts, following Group Reporting guidelines. Ensures the management reporting of financials in accordance with IBPM process. The role will involve management responsibilities and requires collaborating closely with internal and external team members.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Driver Regional Planning process to manage delivery of Regional targets:
- Liaise with DRBU Finance Directors and teams to co-ordinate inputs.
- Actively participate in DRBU performance reviews.
- Use insights to propose DRBU targets and prioritisation, communicating outcomes to DRBU Finance Directors.
- Update Regional FLT and Regional Leadership team on business performance and gap closing.
- Deliver improvements to Regional IBPM process with the objectives of speed, efficiency, and greater transparency.
- Control and ensure delivery of accurate Regional financial information (budgets, forecasts, and actual results), in line with Group instructions and reporting manuals. Provide insightful analysis of variances, sensitivities, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform a lead role in Regional projects: project management and financial aspects.
- Act as a critical issue point between DRBU/End Market teams and GBS to ensure issues are resolved.
- Coordinate financial management of RSU.
- If required, identify, and initiate appropriate corrective action to prevent or address significant reporting or accounting issues within the geographic region.
- Manage delivery by team members, leading and mentor to develop a high performing team.
- Supports Head of Growth Management and Group Finance Controller, as required.
What are we looking for?
- Degree or equivalent experience along with relevant professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA)
- Must demonstrate strong analytical abilities and grasp of business principles
- Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment (consumer goods strongly preferred)!
- Experience in strategic analysis & planning execution and business partnering
- Experience in analysing reports, identifying issues, and providing solutions
- Strong influencing, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with both those under direct and indirect control
- Strong oral and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in leading high-performing teams
- Ability to work under pressure and keep to tight deadlines
- Data and insights driven
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems (i.e. SAP / BI / BPC)
