BAT Italy is looking for a Business Insight Intern.
BAT Italy operates in one of the most dynamic and fast-evolving nicotine markets, where understanding consumers, competitors and market performance is key to winning.
As part of a global organization, you will not only work closely with BAT Italy stakeholders but also collaborate with colleagues from different markets and international teams across the BAT network. This provides a unique opportunity to develop a broad business perspective, build an international network, and learn how insights support decision-making in a multinational company.
As a Business Insights Intern, you will support the Strategy, Performance & Insights team in turning data into actionable business recommendations. You will gain hands-on experience working with market, brand and competitive performance data, helping the business understand what is happening in the market and why.
ROLE OBJECTIVES
Success in the role will be measured by the ability to:
- Support the delivery of timely and accurate business insights
- Contribute to the understanding of market trends, consumer dynamics and competitive activities
- Develop analytical and storytelling skills by working with multiple data sources
- Transform data into clear and actionable recommendations
- Collaborate with different teams to support data-driven decision making
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR:
- Supporting the preparation of weekly and monthly business performance reports
- Monitoring market trends, category developments and competitor activities
- Analyzing sales, market share, pricing and portfolio performance data
- Maintaining reporting tools, dashboards and databases used by the Business Insights team
- Supporting SKU mapping, product tracking and category management activities
- Collecting and organizing competitor and pricing information from different sources
- Contributing to the preparation of presentations and business updates for stakeholders
- Helping improve reporting processes and data quality standards
Essential Experience, Skills and Knowledge:
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to see the big picture
- Proactive and problem-solving approach
- Previous work experience preferred
- Fluent English
