British American Tobacco Austria has an exciting opportunity for a Social Media & PR Executivein Vienna.
The Social Media & PR Executive is responsible for implementing the brand’s social media strategy across platforms, ensuring consistent storytelling, strong engagement, and alignment with broader marketing objectives. The role also supports influencer collaborations, event coverage, and the amplification of offline activations into impactful digital content.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Social Media Management & Content Execution
- Manage day-to-day social media activities
- Ensure consistent tone of voice, visual identity, and messaging across all channels
- Monitor trends and proactively suggest relevant content opportunities
Content Creation & Optimization
- Support our agencies with the creation of engaging content
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (photographers, videographers, agencies)
- Optimize content based on performance insights and platform guidelines
Influencer Marketing
- Identify, vet, and manage relationships with influencers aligned with the brand
- Together with our agency, coordinate influencer campaigns from briefing to execution and reporting
- Track performance (reach, engagement, conversions) and ensure results are met
- Support contract management, gifting, and campaign logistics
Event Attendance & Live Coverage
- Attend brand events, launches, and activations
- Capture real-time content (stories, reels, live updates) during events
- Coordinate with event teams to ensure strong digital visibility
- Manage post-event content rollout to improve reach and engagement
Offline-to-Online Activation Support
- Translate offline campaigns, retail activations, and events into digital-first content
- Ensure seamless integration between physical experiences and online storytelling
- Support campaign amplification across social media and influencer channels
- Collaborate with marketing and retail teams to align messaging and timing
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Monitor social media KPIs (engagement, growth, reach, conversions)
- Prepare regular reports with insights and actionable recommendations
- Track influencer and campaign performance
- Stay up to date with platform updates and industry benchmarks
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in social media management or a related field
- Proven experience managing brand social media accounts
- Experience working with influencers and implementing campaigns
- Experience supporting or covering events for digital channels
Skills
- Strong understanding of major social media platforms and trends (Instagram, HootSuite…)
- Strong ability to recognize aesthetics and brand storytelling
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Analytical approach with the ability to interpret performance data
- Native German and fluent in English is a requirement
Soft Skills
- Proactive, creative, and diligent
- Strong communication and social skills
- Comfortable being on-site at events and working flexible hours when needed
- Great teammate with a collaborative attitude
