REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager HR – People & Culture in Winston-Salem, NC.
The Senior Manager of People & Culture is responsible for designing and executing the organization’s employee listening strategy and internal employer branding efforts to strengthen engagement, culture, and performance. This role translates employee insights into actionable strategies that enhance the day-to-day employee experience and reinforce a compelling, authentic employer brand from the inside out. By partnering closely with leaders, HR partners, and communications teams, the role ensures employee voice informs decisions, culture priorities are clearly articulated, and employees understand how their work connects to purpose, values, and business outcomes.
The Senior Manager leads the end-to-end employee listening ecosystem including surveys, pulse checks, focus groups, and feedback platforms, while driving accountability for action and measurable improvement. Additionally, the role shapes and activates internal employer branding strategies that bring the employee value proposition to life, reinforce cultural norms, and increase pride, belonging, and advocacy across the enterprise.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Design and lead employee listening strategy, including engagement surveys, pulse checks, focus groups, and ongoing feedback channels.
- Translate employee feedback into clear, prioritized insights and recommendations that inform talent, culture, and business decisions.
- Establish governance and accountability for action planning, ensuring leaders own follow-through and measurable improvement.
- Partner with HRBPs and leaders to interpret results, identify root causes, and embed feedback into continuous performance and culture practices.
- Track trends, benchmarks, and key experience metrics to assess progress and impact over time.
- Internal Employer Branding & Culture Activation
- Develop and execute the internal employer branding strategy that brings the employee value proposition (EVP) and culture to life.
- Shape consistent, authentic messaging that reinforces purpose, values, and desired behaviors across the employee lifecycle. Ensure internal branding efforts reflect employee voice and are informed by listening insights.
- Partner with Internal Communications, Talent, and Culture teams to deliver integrated campaigns, storytelling, and engagement moments.
- Serve as a thought partner on engagement, culture, and change initiatives.
- Enable leaders with tools, insights, and guidance to effectively respond to employee feedback and lead culture-forward teams.
- Influence stakeholders to adopt data-driven, employee-centered approaches to decision-making.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of listening and branding initiatives, linking outcomes to engagement, retention, and performance.
What are we looking for?
- 5+ years of HR, employee engagement, internal communications, organizational development or related experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, Sociology or related field required; advanced degree or HR certification is a plus
- Experience coordinating or supporting engagement, culture, inclusion or employee experience programs in a large-scale environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects or workstreams, including timelines, stakeholders and communications.
- Exposure to HR systems, survey platforms and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Office, collaboration suites) preferred.

- 401(k) plan that offers opportunity to save on pre- and post-tax basis up to 50 percent of eligible compensation.
