British American TobaccoRomania has an exciting opportunity for an Senior Business Controls Manager in Bucharest.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing control design advice and support to BAT Management in Finance (R2R, Ops Finance)
- Optimise control frameworks (simplification, standardisation and automation)
- Enable ongoing Transformation, particularly in Ops / Ops finance, by embedding process level risk management and control design directly into key projects – with controls built in by design, in real time, ensuring no surprises
- Enhance control capabilities across the 1st line teams
- Support the tech enablement of all aspects of the control lifecycle – including controls operation and monitoring– Leading and delivering assurance activity for key Finance processes (R2R, Ops Finance) including controls outsourced to ACCN / Systems Ltd and Business partnering with Ops finance and Above Market entities (BAT Export, Nicoventures and Toll Factories) including providing Internal Controls expertise, advice and guidance, promoting an awareness of risk management and control and reporting assurance results, issues and control themes.
- Drive controls optimisation e.g. GOM controls reviews, Identification of opportunities to increase quality and efficiency controls through further automation / use of D&A / use of AI tools, standardisation, simplification and centralisation.
- Develop and deliver controls training; develop controls templates / guidance including control operating procedures and documentation standards and ensure these are embedded.
- Work with applicable BAT finance teams and GBS / Accenture teams to ensure controls are embedded.
What are we looking for?
- Degree educated with a relevant professional qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIA, CISA.
- 5+ years PQE.
- Strong financial process and internal controls experience – either via professional services (Big Four - external audit, advisory) or working within the finance and / or internal controls team at a global multi-national (ideally FMCG).
- Experience of working with SEC registrants and in a SOx environment.
- Strong knowledge of GBS process and control environments including transactional finance activities.
