REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician I Operator in Clarksville, TN.

Run/Repair Maintenance Technicians safely and efficiently operate and repair packaging equipment, conducts preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure production of high-quality tobacco products. Ensure equipment is reliable to support the required production inventory levels for consumer demand. Participate in all maintenance activities.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Safely follow detailed work instructions for operating equipment, processes, preventive maintenance, and repairs.
  • Safely and effectively operate industrial forklifts and manlifts.
  • Strive to keep equipment in the facility operating correctly.
  • Trouble-shoot mechanical breakdowns and repair problem.
  • Replace motors, bearings, cylinders, belt/belt lacing, sprockets, chains and etc.
  • Perform CIL’s and quality checks.
  • Communicate with peers in all areas of the production line to ensure proper processing/packaging of product.
  • Understand responsibilities for compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols and all other Company policies or standards.

What are we looking for?

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Required to pass lift truck and scissor lift certification requirements.
  • Willingness and ability to learn and perform varying duties.
  • Mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, proactivity, and effective follow-through.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Required to have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving report.
  • WorkKeys: Applied Math Level 4, Graphic Literacy Level 4, Workplace Documents Level 4, Preferred Workplace Observation Level 2.

  • 401(k) plan that offers opportunity to save on pre- and post-tax basis up to 50 percent of eligible compensation.
    • Company matches 100 percent of employee pre-tax/Roth (401k) contributions up to six percent
