British American Tobacco Bangladesh has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Analyst
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage day‑to‑day payment activities, including weekly vendor payments, urgent/manual payments, and payment follow‑ups with shared service teams.
- Support vendor and PO management by following up on invoice issues, open purchase orders, goods receipts, and advance settlements.
- Perform basic accounting activities such as journal entries, vendor clearing, and general ledger reconciliations.
- Support financial controls and compliance activities, including SOX checks, audit preparation, and documentation.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including statements and management presentations.
- Help manage fixed assets and leases, including verification, reconciliations, and monthly lease accounting entries (IFRS 16).
- Work closely with internal teams and external auditors to resolve finance‑related queries and provide required information.
- Provide ad‑hoc finance support, ensure timely issue resolution, and contribute to process improvements across the finance function.
What are we looking for?
- A bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a professional accounting firm.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with solid interpersonal and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively across all organizational levels, including senior management.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to explain, justify, and defend key financial matters.
- Strong planning and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
- A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset with a willingness to identify and implement efficiency improvements.
