British American TobaccoCosta Rica has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Analyst in Heredia
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and on a timely basis consistent with regulatory requirements and related Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Develop workable knowledge of applicable governmental laws and regulations of indirect tax areas.
- Analyze relevant transactions and timely and accurately complete all required reporting and payment of tax obligations and Ensure transactions are documented in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Actively develop and maintain good working relationships with key commercial stakeholders and team members.
- Actively search out areas for process improvement, identifying any gaps in efficiency and effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Responsible to ensure all SOX / operational and internal controls are followed.
What are we looking for?
- University degree (Accounting, Economics of Finance).
- At least 3 years of experience with strong accounting knowledge, including the ability to prepare Statutory, Management, and other relevant reports, as well as a solid understanding of transactional taxes such as federal and state excise taxes and sales and use taxes.
- Bilingual (Spanish and English level 95%+).
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
