We’re looking for a Business Development Representative to join our Ireland Trade Marketing & Distribution team — someone who’s passionate about driving business growth, building strong relationships, and delivering commercial excellence across Galway and Limerick.
As a Business Development Representative, you’ll take ownership of key strategic city outlets, developing and strengthening partnerships with retailers while executing trade marketing and activation plans that drive brand visibility, availability, and performance.
You’ll be the face of BAT in your territory — identifying new opportunities, implementing business plans, and ensuring our brands are represented with excellence in every outlet you manage.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Bring BAT’s brands to life in your territory — driving flawless execution of trade and campaign activities.
- Build powerful partnerships with retailers, wholesalers, and vape channel owners to unlock growth opportunities.
- Grow key outlets through smart joint business planning and consistent, high-impact engagement.
- Make our products shine — ensuring the right range, visibility, and execution in every store you visit.
- Spot opportunities before anyone else — from local events to emerging accounts — and turn them into business wins.
- Own your territory’s performance, delivering stand-out trade activations and promotions that boost results.
- Harness digital tools and data to track impact, uncover insights, and continuously raise the bar.
- Stay agile and proactive, adapting to new trends and challenges in a fast-moving market.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in sales, trade marketing, or account management (FMCG experience preferred)
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Proven ability to deliver results through effective planning and execution
- Highly motivated, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with digital tools and reporting platforms
- Full driving licence and flexibility to travel within assigned territory
