BAT IS LOOKING FOR AREA SALES MANAGER
As a Sales Manager, you will lead your Sales team and collaborate with distribution partner to deliver sustainable growth for the business.
FUNCTION:Trade Marketing & Distribution (Field Sales)
SALARY RANGE: Competitive market salary + Bonus scheme + Excellent benefits
LOCATION: Da Nang, Hue, Quang Nam, Vietnam
REPORTS TO: Regional Sales Manager
NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS: 6 to 8

ACCOUNTABILITIES – BUSINESS
Distributor Performance Management
- Oversee the management of key distributors in the respective area to ensure progress to the agreed strategic direction.
- Facilitate the development of a 3-month demand planning for the responsible area.
- Effectively manage the credit risk allocated for the respective area.
- Lead the area team and trade partners to achieve assigned targets, including volume, distribution, etc. at the area level.
Leadership
- Provide coaching and guidance to the Sales Supervisor team.
- Foster an effective and efficient team through on-the-job training, motivation, and staff development to achieve a competitive edge.
- Implement a standardized evaluation process for the team within the area.
- Ensure Sales Supervisors and Sales Representatives are well-trained and aligned with the company's mission.
Relationship
- Collaborate closely with the Business Development & Trade Deployment team to develop the area's operational plan and ensure the execution of brand programs according to the plan.
- Foster and maintain strong business relationships with target trade partners, including Distributors, Retailers within the area.
- Cultivate a working relationship with internal partners such as Trade Marketing Information, and Distribution Development to ensure alignment and cooperation.

- Drive innovation in the development of trade programs to maintain a competitive advantage in the respective area.
- Encourage the area team to actively gather innovative ideas from customers and consumers.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
- Commercial Acumen: Good grasp of the industry trends, market conditions, and the competitive landscape. Understands the company's business model, including how it generates revenue and profit and the interdependency between different business units and functions. 
- Actively contributes to commercial strategies. Can identify and evaluate potential business opportunities and risks. Starts to influence business decisions based on market insights and financial analysis.
- Stakeholder Management: Have a solid knowledge of stakeholder dynamics; effectively identify and analyze stakeholder needs and influences. Proactively engage and communicate with stakeholders; capable of negotiating and resolving moderate conflicts or misunderstandings. 
- Demonstrate confidence in managing stakeholder relationships; actively seek feedback and opportunities to strengthen engagement.
- Activation Knowledge: Able to Plans, designs and executes trade activation program to drive brand growth
- Operational Efficiency: Understands and can analyze operational processes, identifying areas for improvement. Solves a wide range of operational problems and adapts to changing circumstances to maintain efficiency. Manages resources effectively, balancing cost and output, and adjusting as needed.
- Team Development and Succession Planning: Implemented a structured mentorship program within the team, resulting in an improvement in team members' skill proficiency, both functional and leadership aspects. Additionally, identified and groomed internal talent for key leadership positions, facilitating smooth succession planning.
REQUIRMENTS
- University graduate with solid academic results, preferably in Marketing management 
- Minimum 5-year experience in Trade Marketing/Sales in a sizeable FMCG company (preferable an MNC) in senior managerial roles
- Fluent in English & Vietnamese
