REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a LEAD MANAGER HRBP - OPERATIONS in Tobaccoville, NC
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Organizational Strategy Support: Develop relationships with functional leaders to guide managers through HR program delivery, transformation initiatives, operational efficiencies, and change management
- Talent & Performance Management: Collaborate with CoEs to implement talent strategies, assist in recruitment, drive learning initiatives, and support performance management and talent reviews
- Employee Engagement: Facilitate engagement surveys, promote team development, and champion culture efforts across the function
- Employee Relations: Coach managers on how to handle employee issues and manage escalations; support investigations, corrective actions, and terminations
- Reward Management: Advise on compensation reviews, implement reward processes, and promote both monetary and non-monetary recognition strategies
- Workforce Planning: Lead HR planning cycles, support budget management, and contribute to leadership presentations
- Administrative HR Operations: Manage documentation and data integrity for global mobility, position management, announcements, and exit interviews
- HR Program Execution: Ensure smooth implementation of HR initiatives across all areas, maintaining alignment with business goals and employee needs
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in business, human resources, or a related field preferred with minimum 4 years of experience in progressively responsible roles within human resources, including human resources business partner or “generalist” roles.
- Prior experience implementing talent strategies in R&D functions, ideally within a global consumer products company.
- Business & Market Insight: Strong knowledge of current business practices, market trends, and innovative reward and benefits strategies.
- Proven ability to collaborate across all levels of an organization and positively influence stakeholders.
- Willingness and ability to support a 3-shift manufacturing operation; this is an on-site role.
- Self-driven and confident leader who thrives in dynamic environments and drives change with minimal direction.
- Skilled in building trust with senior leaders and peers; excellent communicator with strong presentation and data storytelling skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities, conceptual thinking, and a curious mindset to understand broader business implications.

The following is a general summary of the competitive compensation and benefit plans we offer:
- 401(k) plan that offers opportunity to save on pre- and post-tax basis up to 50 percent of eligible compensation.
- Company matches 100 percent of employee pre-tax/Roth (401k) contributions up to six percent
- Company contributes an additional three percent to 401(k) whether employee participates or not
