British American Tobacco Trading Romania has exciting opportunities for Junior Brand Managers (traditional segment), in Bucharest.

BAT Romania is looking for multiple Junior Brand Managers to join the Brand Management traditional segment teams, in Bucharest.

As a Junior Brand Manager based in BAT Romania, you’ll be responsible to support the Brand Manager in the development of new and existing brand propositions, from defining consumer relevant positioning to planning and implementing supporting activities.

You’ll lead given brand projects, ensuring the execution is within brief, and drive fact-based decision making through the provision of market analysis and reports with clear recommendations for action. You’ll need to be a strong self-starter, be willing to take ownership and enjoy getting things done in a pressured environment. Substantial coaching, on-the-job and functional training will be provided as part of a clearly defined development plan with tasks being assigned in line with your competence and development needs.

Reports to: Brand Manager

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Alignment of various BAT partners (from agencies to Operations and Trade Marketing) to ensure brand objectives and activities are implemented with the required quality and adjusted to meet agreed cost & timescales
  • Preparation of engagement programs and cycle plan activities to ensure brand strategies are effectively implemented and evaluated at field level
  • Application of brand insights and understanding to consumer dialogue in order to differentiate marketing activities and optimise brand effectiveness
  • Analyse and report market research intelligence to estimate brand performance or issues and provide sound data-based recommendations with required actions
  • Monitor and report brand expenditure to ensure it does not exceed budget defined in operational brand plan

What are we looking for?

  • 2-3 years of previous experience in brand management; experience in a FMCG company is nice to have
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • High attention to detail and good presentation skills
  • Capable to lead and influence different internal and external partners
  • Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset
  • Ability to make things happen (proactive, dynamic, flexible, pragmatic)
  • Ability to develop relevant and effective in-store communication and promotions and coordinate third party suppliers to positively influence consumer buying behaviour
  • Commercial approach to all activities
  • Project management skills are nice to have
  • Fluent English & Romanian (oral and written)
  • Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
