British American TobaccoDigital Business Solution has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud Site Reliability Engineer in Sunway Geo
The role is accountable for solution design/delivery/operations for multiple components and processes within the function, which have strategic importance to BAT and contribute to our ability to deliver business outcomes.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensure service availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning are within contracted levels.
- Create a bridge between development and service operations.
- Building solutions to help Service Operations and the Business units.
- Develops relationships with DRBU to assess their technology and support needs.
- Offers innovative solutions that meet the business needs while remaining cost effective.
- Maintains relationships with vendors and ensure service delivery performance.
- Maintains familiarity with current and upcoming IT technology, services, and other development.
- Recommendations on appropriate IT strategies and best practices to implement to surmount challenges and achieve set objectives.
OVERALL ACCOUNTABILITIES and DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES
- Help maintain cloud infrastructure in Cloud environment with collaboration with our partners.
- Serve as a primary point responsible for the overall health, performance, and capacity of our cloud infrastructure.
- Assist in the roll-out and deployment of new product features and installations to new cloud infrastructure our rapid iteration and constant growth.
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that platforms are designed with "operability" in mind.
- Function well in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Participate in a 24x7 rotation for second and third-tier escalations.
- Monitor and provide input on practices and processes to own and drive the implementation of improvement strategies and plans
- Manage new business demand and request.
- Manage Third Party Support partners to drive service operation.
- Engagement with Solution Architect to establish service roadmaps.
- Adhere to all BAT standards, governance, and compliance.
- Involve in regulate expenditures, analyse variances, and conduct forecasts to identify requirements useful in preparing annual budgets.
- A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas for improvement, and performance bottlenecks.
- Perform IT administration and management duties as part of plans for enhancing IT services.

What are we looking for?
Experience Required
- Experience in large global organization using in-sourced and out-sourced IT services and a good working knowledge of the management of global services.
Technical / Soft skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, stakeholder management and ability to work well in a diverse, team-focused environment with other Engineers, Product Managers, etc
- Experience deploying and configuring infrastructure in any cloud vendor like AWS, GCP and Azure
- Breadth of knowledge of best practice IT Service Management (ITIL)
Education / Qualifications
- Degree Educated, 3-5 years post graduate work experience in an IT Services environment and /or business facing IT role.
- Exposure on AGILE, DEVOPS, Automation is added advantage.
- Cloud certification is added advantage.
