British American TobaccoSweden has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Improvement & Compliance Manager in Malmo
The role is oversee the quality compliance and improvement department, ensuring its alignment with company strategy and setting precise objectives for team members, while also providing guidance and support as necessary to facilitate optimal performance.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives with unwavering dedication to enhance process and product quality and compliance, fostering an ingrained culture of perpetual enhancement within the organization to consistently raise standards
- Ensure proper specification and BOMs of product (FG, semi-FG and materials) and proper data management are in place in accordance with BAT requirements and legal standards.
- Maintain data in various product management systems, e.g.: EHS, RD, MM, etc.
- Ensure that all additives and materials used for production in Factory are PSC approved.
- Continuously monitor performance of existing products to ensure that product specifications deliver desired outcomes in terms of smoking and physical quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Proactively seek out opportunities for quality enhancement with an insatiable appetite for improvement, swiftly implementing effective strategies to address identified areas for optimization and elevate overall performance.
- Drive the continuous improvement of product (FG, semi-FG and materials).
- Investigate process optimization opportunities, develop, and submit relevant recommendations to Product Department and factory Production Management
- Assure periodic processes capability reviews and improvements implementation.
- Materials Supplier Quality Management and material improvement, including incoming materials inspection for innovation.
- Collect all the necessary information from Supply Chain (i.e.: Nexus, Plan), Legal and CORA departments to ensure on time delivery and legal compliance of on-line labels.
- Manage Factory product complexity via optimized resource utilization, harmonization of production materials and in line with global guidelines and standards and drive product standardization and product complexity reduction.
- Perform risk assessments of all activities in the leading factory that can have an influence on quality and document the key risks in the Process FMEA – implementing key controls to manage the risk;
- Perform training to the leading factory and supply chain teams in RQA, PI&T, P&HM and key problem solving techniques;
- Manage the internal and external audit process for the leading factory ensuring compliance and driving improvement in the management systems;
- Collaborate on the definition and validation of reporting systems for group wide application.
- Drive and lead Quality Pillar activities including IWS phase compliance. incl. but not limited to driving improvement projects related to IWS, leading DMS and coordinating and/or participating in other relevant continuous improvement activities locally and globally
- Bringing departments together with quality focus and represents quality in local and global forums as needed
- Comply and implement activities in accordance with the rules of laws and regulations relating to environmental protection, safety at work and fire protection, and internal EHS or Sustainability standards and procedures.
What are we looking for?
- Thorough knowledge of tobacco products, tobacco technology and Quality - (minimum 4-5 years)
- Quality knowledge & experience gained in one or more international FMCG or high speed/ big serial manufacturing companies.
- Broad understanding of Consumer centric quality management principles and Supply chain, design of new Processes and Standards management and Supply chain models, Continual Improvement, Product and Materials Test & Release, Product Chemical Lab Testing & Review, RQA Protocol, IWS, PI&T, PM&H, and Q2 systems.
- Broad understanding of PI&T and P&HM • Experience leading teams
- Experience leading projects
- HACCP, Quality systems e.g. ISO, GFSI and more Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Quality management principles, design of new Processes and Standards management
- Knowledge and experience of SPC, Six Sigma and CI tools.
- Strong Influencing, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in working across multiple functions/projects is preferred.
- Previous OLT experience is preferred
- In depth knowledge in problem solving tools, RCA & CAPA
- Ability to adapt fast and self-develop.
- Brave, proactive, principled, agile and independent Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Degree level in science, applied science or engineering.
- Project management • Certification implementation experience
