KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:

• Lead Commercial Compliance Committees, ensuring adherence to BAT plc Standards, particularly the Anti-Illicit Trade Intelligence Compliance Protocol (AITICP).
• Conduct and oversee risk assessments for business security and illicit trade activities, ensuring mitigation plans are in place.
• Direct intelligence collection and investigations, ensuring secure storage and retrieval of relevant information.
• Support decision-making through intelligence-led planning and commercial awareness integration.
• Manage data collection, research agencies, and external partners for effective illicit trade measurement.
• Lead the program, including mystery shopper activities, retailer communications, and enforcement measures.
• Develop security policies, investigate breaches, and coordinate risk and crisis management initiatives.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including law enforcement, and oversee third-party service providers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:

• Extensive background in intelligence operations, investigations, and information confidentiality, preferably in government or corporate settings.
• Familiarity with police, customs, and intelligence agency procedures, as well as illicit trade drivers and enforcement strategies.
• Proven experience in security risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and corporate security operations.
• Ability to lead teams, provide clear direction, and contribute to business security strategies.
• Capable of analyzing risks, making informed decisions, and developing strategic solutions.
• Experience working with law enforcement, government authorities, and industry partners.
• Degree-level qualification with relevant professional certification in security, law enforcement, or military service preferred.
• Ability to operate effectively in diverse cultural environments and respond proactively to emerging threats.
