FUNCTION: Trade Marketing

TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent

START DATE: 01 January 2025

LOCATION: Thessaloniki/Thrace, Greece

ROLE OBJECTIVES

British American Tobacco Hellas is looking for a passionate, experienced and highly motivated Area Supervisor to join our Trade team, based in Thessaloniki/Thrace.

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Manage the distribution of company brands in a large geographical area of Thessaloniki/Thrace in order to ensure that availability is maximized in line with brand strategies and the needs of the market by trade channel and outlet type.
  • Analyze Brand, TMD as well as Nielsen reports, in order to identify supply chain and delivery point weaknesses and opportunities.
  • Develop and support the vision, business culture and strategy, product roadmap and launches of the New Generation Products portfolio.
  • Ensure the effective embedment of TM&D work practices of stock management, product freshness, availability, visibility, communication, presentation, in-store merchandising and implementation through Merchandisers at the POS.
  • Creating excellent relationships through constant communication & visits to the area W/S.
  • Communicate monthly targets to W/S, supervise and monitor their progress.
  • Collection of information with regards to distributors as well as W/S network of the category in order to monitor any changes that could possibly affect business within the area.
  • Contribute to brand action plans to ensure efficiencies and effectiveness for all trade components of the plan such as POP material, trade communication mechanism etc.
  • Manage an efficient and effective area trade marketing team of 7-10 FF Reps through on-job training, performance management, motivation, and staff development in order that trade marketing representation is superior to the competition in respect of both core and added value services.
  • Develop and execute the area trade marketing and distribution plan, in line with the overall TM&D strategy which meets brand, volume and profit objectives for each trade channel and 1st line customers through the most effective and efficient utilisation of budgets and manpower.
  • Set up different targets for different territories for different people to achieve team objectives.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills through the development of key team members and sharing how the channel will evolve successfully over a medium-term period.
  • Close working relationships with key decision makers and key retailers
  • Encourage differentiation on day-to-day business in order to create a 'change culture' within the team so that will open up a 'new ideas' channel
  • Planning and presenting reports on account progress, goals, and quarterly initiatives to share with team members

CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?

  • University Degree in Business Administration or another related field
  • You are a fluent user of English and Greek native
  • You are an advanced user of MS Office

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment, that has incorporated a trade channel and account management approach
  • High level of communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in Sales is a must
  • Analytical skills and problem-solving capability
  • Relationship building capability with customers
  • Strong influencing, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Flexible leadership style to manage team members, peers and senior stakeholders.
