BAT KOREA IS LOOKING FOR A PAYROLL SPECIALIST
FUNCTION:Human Resources
LOCATION: South Korea
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Payroll Specialist performs and reconciles payroll and statutory benefits for the Korea legal entities; Rothmans Far East B.V.(KBO) & British American Tobacco Korea Manufacturing.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Processing of payroll run and all other processes within the cycle, rectifying errors as they occur and advancing if appropriate
- Completes annual processes e.g. taxation
- Coordinate the reconciliation of payroll costing and interface files to ensure all are completed within agreed timescales
- Execute and implement HR practices in benefits to align with already set objectives and schedules, and maintaining high quality standards, in line with HR company policies / procedures and mentorship from ES Manager
- Coordinate all management/non-management benefits as per policy, ensuring on time and right quality service to employees
- Facilitate with the benefit administrator for annual medical check up timely, and keep the record in the right place
- Creation and management of Purchase Orders and contracts with HR related agencies
- Employee profiles and documents management in appropriate manner in line with HR & Data policies
- Provides specialist technical expertise through the processing of payroll data for the nominated area in accordance with group policies and guidelines (may include multi-country legal payrolls and international assignee payrolls)
- Performs calculations, analysis, or investigations to ensure the smooth operation of the payroll function and responds within SLA including the analysis of payroll control reports to identify and resolve discrepancies and use findings to identify process improvements and migrate risks
- Maintains knowledge of statutory and legal requirements relevant to the role and aligns with the requirements for filing statutory returns
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
Experience Required
- At least 4 years’ experience in payroll or other related HR Field
Technical / Functional Skills Required
- Sound knowledge on labour laws and company’s HR policies & practices
- Working level of English required
- Demonstrable track record of on time in full delivery
- Proven analytical skills and high level of attention to detail
- Interpersonal skills
- Digital literacy
