British American Tobacco South Africa has an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner - Corporate Services in Cape Town

The HRBP role will offer you the possibility to be involved as a strategic partner to the local team in helping to build a best in class employee engagement and a high performing culture. As an HRBP, you will partner with senior management team to align business objectives and execute strategic initiatives, while supporting the continuous improvement process within the business. You will cooperate with key stakeholders to deliver diversity and inclusion programs, employee retention and engagement strategies.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Partner with leaders to identify team and organizational needs, evaluate options and develop solutions.
  • Build effective partnerships with senior managers.
  • Collaborate with line management on coaching and feedback efforts, people and performance decisions, employee engagement, communications, talent management.
  • development, organizational change initiatives and program rollouts
  • Lead change management initiatives through a focus on shifts to culture, leadership and management requirements.
  • Execute employee engagement & talent acquisition strategies.
  • Drive employee relations process for BAT employees.
  • Manage join/move/leave processes with support of employee admin team.
  • Apply fair reward approach to support business consistency.
  • Forecast and Manage Employment cost.

What are we looking for?

  • Relevant bachelor’s degree
  • Experience within HR for a minimum of 4 years with some experience in HR business partnering.
  • Strong knowledge of South Africa’s legislation
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task assignments.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to critically assimilate and assess data.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills; ability to drive to consensus where appropriate.
  • Results oriented approach, self-management.
  • Good qualification regarding the compensation & benefits processes, budgeting
  • Effective communication skills
