Purpose Statement

This initiative has been instrumental in bringing diverse perspectives and promising candidates to BAT, while supporting talent in building careers in STEM - particularly in the traditionally male-dominated fields of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics.

• Build positive relationships with Business stakeholders and Development tech teams to ensure projects are delivered within the agreed financial, design, and delivery criteria.

Core Responsibilities:

Delivery of key initiatives to enable the business sustainable growth plan through:

• Stand-ups and discovery sessions – assistance with Agile planning / mastering  
• Working with a development team and conducting Scrum / Retro / Analysis events. Communicating progress updates internally.
• Business Intelligence KPIs and key metrics (Nord-star) delivery orchestration  
• Supporting the development of large-scale Business Requirements Documents (BRDs).   
• Participating in Data Governance, particularly in transformation projects focused on Data Quality and Meta Data Management.   
• Contributing to Change Management and knowledge-sharing initiatives, such as delivering and rolling out the Data Academy (‘Data Wise’).   
• Preparing the data sets, data extracts to support the team’s scalability  
• Looking after a change management / educational activities within the space of Business Intelligence and Data Strategy  

Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• Degree or equivalent experience in Business or Engineering (or currently pursuing), with a preference for previous project management or coordination experience.  
• Basic experience with MS Excel and MS Sharepoint. MS ADO skills are nice to have  
• Good experience with MS Power Point and verbal / non-verbal communications    
• Practical SQL or Python skills
• Experience in business process mapping and business process re-engineering to improve efficiency (or willingness to learn!)  
• Attention to details in fast paced environment  
• Understanding of the Data Engineering practices and the AI / ML modern trends    
• Software lifecycle principles  
• Understanding of data infrastructure, architecture, and engineering for business insights, as well as data presentation tools such as MicroStrategy and MS Power  BI or similar BI tools, project management principles, and Agile methodology and use of ADO (Azure DevOps), Jira or similar tools  
• Desire to learn & grow in a fast-track way  
• Ability to work independently when it is required and ability to manage the own knowledge gaps
