PURPOSE STATEMENT: Support introduction of new products in the factory by documenting, reporting and other project-related tactical tasks.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Performs assigned technical duties, administrative duties, monitors performance and fills in for maintenance supervision as required.
- Provide technical solutions, leadership, and support for area personnel.
- Provides equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance follow up.
- Perform procedures and work assignments in keeping with company policy, safety, IWS, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Attend and participate in job related and management directed meetings, including meetings with equipment vendors and others related to equipment and/or processes.
- Assumes responsibility for auditing production quality standards with respect to electrical design, protection of capital investment, machine standardization, and proper machine functions.
- Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and calibration of inspection, measuring, and test equipment for RJRT.
- Responsible for ensuring that inspection, measuring and test equipment is fit for use by correctly following protocols contained in OEM equipment service manuals, company documentation, and departmental procedures, work instructions, and forms.
- Responsible for modifying or creating new procedures, work instructions, and forms as needed to document proper maintenance, repair, and calibration procedures.
- Provide technical assistance and provide recommendations on new inspection, measuring, and test equipment to replace obsolete equipment.
CAN THIS BE YOUR FUTURE ROLE?
- Do you have an AAS Degree in Industrial Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology or related field and a minimum of two years as a E&I Technician.
- Must meet physical requirements in keeping with company policy.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Demonstrates self-motivation, personal leadership, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability and commitment to drive change in the organization
- Leadership skills possessing the ability to lead a small project team
- Interpersonal collaboration skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, at all levels within the organization and with external vendors
- Ability to present to small groups
- This internal posting is for eligible employees seeking the Lead E&I Technician role. The successful candidate must have a thorough knowledge of SMD equipment and excellent electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills.
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of computer-based information systems – OMS, Ignition, TaO/SAP, GageSuite, NetSuite
- Must be familiar with process flow and possess a willingness to work with production associates in resolving electrical related issues.
- Selection for this job will not be based on seniority but will be based on demonstrated abilities, knowledge, and experience. Candidates will submit written materials and will interview before a panel.
- Ability to effectively create, modify or enhance procedures, i.e., PM's, GMP, calibrations, work instructions, etc.
- Ability to set clear direction and influence Instrumentation Electronic Specialists towards achievement of department goals and objectives.
- Comprehensive knowledge of RJRT manufacturing processes with technical understanding of Tobacco, Filter, Cigarette, NTM methods, and how measurement technology is used in each area.
