In a scenario of increasing pressure on the profit pool, driven by excise, clear value-adding plans with regards to trade investment (ROI) & margin optimization are crucial to deliver growth in the market.
The KAM will provide support, guidelines, best practices, and leadership to ensure full endorsement of the plans for Netherlands. Hence, effective collaboration with the other departments within Netherlands is critical for the job holders’ success.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Recommend and implement key account strategies aligned with the company’s operational plan to drive volume, profit, and market share.
- Evaluate and execute trade activities in key accounts, ensuring KPIs and profitability targets are achieved.
- Analyze performance of BAT and competitors to improve trade effectiveness and identify key business opportunities and challenges.
- Develop long-term key account plans by understanding customer decision-making processes, strategies, and growth plans.
- Propose and execute operational changes to optimize key account activity outcomes.
- Manage key account budgets efficiently, addressing variances and ensuring effective marketing spend prioritization.
- Lead, coach, and develop direct reports while contributing to strategic planning and capability building for key accounts.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather insights, share best practices, and drive innovation in trade activities.
What are we looking for?
- University degree or equivalent professional experience; FMCG background is a plus.
- Over 5 years of trade marketing and key account management experience.
- Proven people management skills with strong leadership and coaching abilities.
- Deep trade expertise, strong segment insights, and excellent negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a solid understanding of long-term business priorities.
- Excellent communication, professionalism, and ability to handle confidential matters.
- Fluent in English and Dutch (native or equivalent proficiency).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
