British American Tobacco Greecehas an exciting opportunity for a Digital Commerce Managerin Athens.
As the eCommerce Digital Activation Executive for the cluster of Greece, Malta, Cyprus and Israel (GMCI) in British American Tobacco, you will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and executing ecommerce platforms and online consumer activations across all New Categories for our cluster, with focus in Greece. Your purpose is to support our own online stores’ operations to drive sales growth, enhance consumer experience, and improve brand presence across multiple e-commerce platforms (owned & 3rd party). This role requires a mix of strategic, technical, and creative skills to ensure efficient day-to-day online store operations, develop marketing initiatives, and ensure consumer satisfaction. The role reports to the Digital Activation Manager of GMCI cluster.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Build strong understanding of brand/category priorities, business objectives, consumer needs, market trends, and digital opportunities across GMCI.
- Support the digital and omnichannel agenda by identifying capabilities, best practices, and emerging e-commerce technologies that can enhance brand performance.
- Handle GMCI e-commerce platforms and day-to-day online store operations, including owned channels and 3rd party e-retailers, ensuring smooth execution within budget.
- Develop and implement commercial promotional plans, campaigns, sales events, and product launches to drive traffic, conversion, retention, sales revenue, and consumer satisfaction.
- Monitor e-commerce performance, sales reporting, stock availability, and important metrics to identify growth opportunities and recommend data-driven improvements across the consumer journey.
- Lead the implementation of platform improvements and new functionalities based on performance insights, user feedback, and business needs, including checkout, payment, and fulfilment flows.
- Coordinate CRM campaigns, loyalty initiatives, personalized customer journeys, and retention activities to increase engagement, repeat purchases, and customer lifetime value.
- Collaborate with GMCI, Western Europe Digital and Consumer Technology teams, and agency partners to ensure compliant, locally relevant deployment aligned with area guidelines and group standards.
What are we looking for?
- University degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Marketing, eCommerce, or a related field; postgraduate studies are considered a plus.
- Minimum 4 years of commercial experience in a globally matrixed environment.
- Hands-on experience with digital platforms, e-commerce operations, and online channel strategy, with a consistent record of driving sales delivery.
- Experience with CRM and eCommerce platforms such as Shopify+ will be considered a plus.
- Knowledge of web analytics tools, SEO procedures, MS Office, and Power BI will be considered advantageous.
- Strong cross-functional project management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Creative thinking, strong analytical skills, and a commercial omnichannel perspective, with the ability to connect offline and online consumer journeys.
- Fluency in Greek and English is required.
