British American TobaccoRomania has an exciting opportunity for a Global Process Expert – Pricing in Bucharest.
The Global Process Expert (GPE) – Pricing plays a pivotal role in designing, governing, and continuously improving the global end‑to‑end Pricing operating model. Using deep process expertise and strong leadership capabilities, the GPE ensures global standardization, robust design governance, and effective integration of all Pricing processes and systems.
The role drives key transformation initiatives, safeguards adherence to the global model on behalf of the Global Process Owner (GPO), and contributes to BAT’s strategic agenda by optimizing processes, accelerating change, and enabling consistent value delivery across all markets.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Act as the global subject‑matter expert for Pricing processes/systems, safeguarding global design governance, ensuring adherence to standards, managing legal/fiscal deviations, and maintaining global SOPs, performance indicators, master data integrity and knowledge frameworks.
- Provide expert guidance and training on Pricing policies, systems, analytics and digital tools (SAP/Vistex/Salesforce/Bizom), while driving enhancements to support new categories, emerging business models and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure strong process integration by collaborating with Global Process Leads, GBS centres, Master Data, OTC, Transformation teams, DRBUs, End Markets and BPO partners to embed standardisation, compliance and operational excellence.
- Lead transformational agenda for Pricing by identifying improvement opportunities, challenging the status quo, seeking new tools/enablers, and aligning roadmaps for automation, defect resolution, Agile ways of working and CI culture acceleration.
- Drive structured change management activities (impact assessments, partner mapping, readiness checks) and manage global communication plans to ensure successful adoption of Pricing changes across all markets and GBS hubs.
- Oversee the development, alignment and tracking of global Pricing data, metrics and tiered performance indicators, ensuring accurate reporting and performance monitoring across all geographies.
- Build and strengthen people leadership by developing teams, enhancing capabilities (training pathways, certification models, SME networks), promoting collaboration, customer‑centricity and high‑performance culture aligned with BAT Ethos.
- Foster strong global relationships with functional teams, seniorkey partners, strategic project teams and transformation partners, ensuring effective communication, informed decision‑making, best‑practice sharing and cohesive delivery of global initiatives.
What are we looking for:
- Proven expertise in Pricing within multinational FMCG/CPG environments, with 7 to 10 years’ experience in pricing roles or pricing-focused consultancy.
- Hands on experience in O2C Processes and Transformational programmes in a global organisation.
- Functional working understanding of the following SAP modules and processes: budgeting and financial forecasting, statutory reporting actuals, transactional finance, excise and taxes, marketing internal reporting
- Solution‑focused and creative strategic mind, with a strong drive for results
- Ability to develop, communicate, and deliver clear strategies and action plans.
- Line management and developing the capability of Process/Business Professionals.
- Strong influencing and communication skills in order to engage senior key partners in a global and matrix organization as well as articulate case for change to BAU leaders
- First degree (Finance/Business/Economics); ACCA/CIMA/MBA would be an advantage.
