British American Tobacco Romaniahas an exciting opportunity for a FX Risk Manager – Global Treasury Operations to join our team in Bucharest
As FX Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and optimizing BAT’s global hedging strategy and transactional FX risk management. You will support key partners including the Group Treasurer and Corporate Treasury in handling exposures across BUs, supervising liquidity, and driving informed treasury decisions. Sitting within the Global Treasury Operations team in Romania, this role provides transparency at Group level and exposure to senior partners in Treasury, Finance, and beyond.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitor, report and analyse FX exposures at BU, DRBU and Group level, including simulations and PL impact analysis
- Support and implement hedging strategies in line with Group guidance and market conditions
- Consolidate and analyse Group Liquidity profile and communicate sensitivities to key partners
- Prepare and maintain reporting packs (FX, Liquidity, Dividend Hedging) for senior management
- Coordinate FX risk input into cross-functional projects and global Treasury systems (BATCASH, Hedging Cockpit)
- Handle FX-related SAP and S4H system setup and controls
- Provide analytical input to the Head of Global Treasury Operations and collaborate closely with Commercial Treasury
- Ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls in FX risk processes
What are we looking for?
- Solid understanding of FX transactional risk management and liquidity analysis
- Experience in hedging strategy, financial analysis, and treasury operations
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills; ability to simplify complex concepts
- Excellent communication and partner leadership skills across functions and geographies
- Ability to interpret financial market trends and translate them into actionable insights
- Sound knowledge of accounting, tax and treasury impacts of FX
- Ability to work well with others and excel in a fast-paced environment
- A degree in Finance or related field; treasury certifications (e.g., CFA, AMCT, ACCA) are a strong advantage
