British American TobaccoSri Lanka has an exciting opportunity for a Process and Maintenance Lead in Kandy, Sri Lanka
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Plan and implement GLTP plant maintenance activities to ensure continuous operations with minimal production disruption while adhering to BAT standards (EHS, Procurement, Legal, etc.).
- Coordinate and implement the GLTP processing plan with the AB Supply Chain Assistant Manager to achieve planned production volumes, correct blend mix, and required product quality standards.
- Support seasonal and off-seasonal plant operations through effective workforce coordination and supervision of operational crews.
- Manage plant and site maintenance, ensuring operational efficiency, cost optimization, and achievement of GLT budget and Co-plan targets.
- Ensure full compliance with EH&S, PI&T / PM&H standards (minimum Level 3), machinery safety requirements, and maintain housekeeping and safety standards across the GLTP site including contractors and 3P suppliers.
- Lead and support the IWS agenda under the Productive Maintenance pillar while driving ESG KPIs and site sustainability initiatives.
- Manage asset management activities including R&R, maintenance execution, SAP integration, spare parts availability, and inventory verification to ensure stock accuracy and cost efficiency.
- Oversee site services and contractor performance to ensure service delivery standards and timely completion of planned activities.
- Ensure OTIF completion and tracking of regulatory inspections, maintenance programs, environmental emission controls, and accurate documentation and certification.
- Support site improvements through collaboration with external technical experts, implementation of CAPEX projects, provision of technical support to leaf depots, and ensuring AWS certification and compliance with BAT P&HM and P&IT standards.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification from recognized institute
- Prior experience in overlooking a site operation in terms of mechanical, electrical or civil aspects
- Other qualifications in mechanical, electrical or civil would be an added advantage
- Knowledge in TPM, or any other operational and maintenance would be an added advantage
