British American Tobacco Iberia has an exciting opportunity for a Cluster HR Business Partner (HRBP) Spain & Portugal in Madrid.
The HR Business Partner acts as a strategic partner to the business, aligning HR strategies with organizational goals. The HRBP will provide comprehensive HR support across Spain and Portugal, including talent management, employee relations and performance management. The HRBP collaborates closely with managers and employees to ensure the effective deployment of HR policies, activities and actions across both markets.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Act as a trusted HR advisor to senior business leaders and key stakeholders across Spain and Portugal, influencing business decisions and driving people-related strategies.
- Develop individuals and teams through facilitation of various leadership workshops and cultural programs.
- Coach and educate Line Managers and employees while providing the right level of HR guidance and expertise.
- Support Line Managers with external recruitment.
- Support management in identifying productivity and efficiency opportunities.
- Develop strategies to ensure no disruption to business or loss of key talent.
- Manage, monitor and improve HR administration processes, in close cooperation with the Regional HR Shared Services team. Initiate HR policy review and policy changes in line with business agenda and labour law developments.
- Comply with and implement activities in accordance with regulations related to environmental protection, occupational health and safety, fire protection, and internal EHS or Sustainability standards and procedures.
What are we looking for?
- Thinking Strategically and proactiveness combined with hands-on attitude and Transformational mindset.
- University Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a related field.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish. Portuguese would be considered a strong advantage.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role as an HR Business Partner, preferably within a multinational environment.
- Knowledge of Spanish labour law.
- Experience supporting HR activities in Portugal and knowledge of Portuguese employment law would a plus.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a practical approach, able to focus on priorities in a dynamic environment and maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to cope effectively with tight deadlines and a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to establish trusted internal and external relationships.
- Proactive and enthusiastic attitude.
- Knowledge of payroll systems and/or SAP SuccessFactors would be beneficial.
