British American Tobacco Indonesia has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Technologist Analytical in Malang!
In this role, you will support the execution of Advanced Analytical to deliver Malang/ Indonesia specific robust routine analytical methods to support BAT’s New Categories as part of the Analytical Centre of Excellence. The candidate will be accountable in supporting the development of tools, knowledge and data in analytical sciences across all BAT categories.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- To lead in the planning, delivery and reporting of routine analytics based on an agreed plan, equipment and methodologies following best practise
- To support the Analytical team, to develop, deliver and ensure fit-for-purpose testing capabilities and defined requirements to support Quality Growth -product innovation and PLM, and Sustainable Future- THR sciences and regulatory engagement
- Ensure that data generated are timely, fit for purpose and meeting the appropriate quality requirements (data standards, RDRT) and business needs, harnessing approaches aligned to the digital transformation roadmap
- Maintain clear ways of working and adherence to key processes, providing clear technical leadership, maintaining a continuous improvement attitude.
- To support in the authoring and delivery of R&S reports, internal publications and presentations.
- Understands, promotes and applies responsibilities under the EH&S policy
- Application of project management and planning
- Application of competitor landscape in the field of analytical science
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's (or equivalent experience) in Chemistry or a related scientific field, with minimum 1-2 years of working experience in a similar lab testing environment
- Strong experience with analytical instruments and techniques, including GC-FID, HPLC, and HPLC/MS/MS, within regulated laboratory environments.
- Sound knowledge of chemical testing, analytical methodologies, and data interpretation.
- Hands-on expertise in operating, calibrating, and maintaining aerosol robots and smoking engines.
- Proficiency in using informatics tools and LIMS systems to process analytical data, ensure traceability, and maintain data quality standards.
- Experience working in ISO 17025 accredited and/or GxP-compliant laboratories, following quality and governance requirements.
- Ability to prepare technical reports, conference materials, and scientific publications, with strong written communication skills and understanding of product testing methods, test method development, and execution of validated analytical procedures.
- English speaking skills with the ability to work independently and in a team, drive project delivery, maintain strong stakeholder management, and continuously develop technical proficiencies.
