To develop and implement key strategic HR objectives consistently across all functions in BAT Fiji in-line with Global and Regional HR strategy, policies and programs and reinforcing the Company vision, values & ethos. The Head of Talent, Culture & Inclusion role is a highly strategic role able to drive Area scale People, culture, talent & OD initiatives (full spectrum of HR professional skills) at a programmatic level.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Contribute to the development and realisation of integrated business strategies and plans fully integrated with the BAT Global strategy and aligned to Regional and Global HR strategies, which ensure the optimal deployment and leveraging of total business capability and the realisation of growth agenda
- Provide leadership and direction to functions/departments within role responsibility as well as within Fiji to ensure the efficient and effective implementation of functional strategy and plans in order to build a high performing winning organization
- To develop & drive HR strategy that promotes Fiji vision and mission and continually meets the needs of the organisation’s strategic plan and long-term goals.
- As a member of the Fiji HR Area Leadership Team contribute in development of the People strategy, then partner with area / functional / country leadership teams in delivering on people strategy at appropriate levels
- To strive to promote an environment where people are encouraged to value continuous learning and focus on personal and team improvement in order to realise individual and team potential. Foster a winning environment through effective communication between employees and management.
- To contribute to Reward strategy, to be able to recruit and retain high calibre employees.
- To develop appropriate incentive schemes for all levels of staff to ensure high performance focused culture.
- To Ensure effective performance management in place and link reward to performance
- To support Fiji Area Talent Review Meetings
- Engage and communicate with key stakeholders on organisational change, ensure appropriate structure is in place to support the Business strategy.
- Challenge the shape and structure of functions based on internal & external benchmarking and networking to ensure a fit for purpose organisation
What are we looking for?
- HR professional with tertiary qualification
- Minimum 8 years of proven track record in HR at senior management level
- Experience & knowledge of leading edge/current HR practices & thinking
- Think strategically as well as sufficiently operational to deliver results
- Working in a multi/above market environment would be an added advantage
- Problem solving capability by analysing issues from different perspectives and drawing sound inferences from available data and then proposing workable solutions.
- Agile in leading change and innovation.
- Uses insight and foresight to drive decisions (data fluency)
- Ability to influence and create buy-in from senior stakeholder
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
