British American TobaccoTaiwan has an exciting opportunity for a Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Manager.
The Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Manager for Taiwan Cluster (Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau) will play a pivotal role in shaping the regulatory landscape for the organisation, ensuring full compliance with local laws and regulations, and gathering critical regulatory intelligence. This position requires an experienced professional with a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory environments, and a proven ability to engage with key collaborators to promote a sustainable and favourable business landscape.
Reports to: Area Head of Corporate and Regulatory Affairs - APMEA North
Geographic Scope: Taiwan & Hong Kong
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitor and analyse legislative and regulatory developments in Taiwan and Hong Kong, providing timely intelligence and strategic advice to management and relevant departments for compliance.
- Engage with government authorities, industry associations, and other external partners to represent the organisation’s interests and contribute to policy dialogues.
- Implement regulatory strategies to support business objectives and foster a sustainable regulatory environment
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure awareness and understanding of regulatory requirements throughout the organisation.
- Cultivate media relations and draw on their support when the need arises to ensure the organisation receives accurate and balanced media coverage.
- Act as a key liaison point or company spokesperson with relevant individuals and collaborator groups.
- Drive the partnership between HR and CORA to design and deliver activities, which generate internal understanding about, establishes commitment to, and aligns behaviour with the guiding principles of the organisation
What are we looking for?
Essential
- Bachelor or above degrees, preferably in Political Science, Law, Public Policy, Communication
- Dynamic corporate and regulatory affairs veteran with 7++ years professional experience in the Taiwan market
- Great diplomacy and superior communications skills in English and Chinese
- Thorough knowledge of the Taiwan political system and processes and clear understanding of the processes of media, government, legislature and agencies/printers
- Proved record of representing companies to stakeholders, ability to work well with all levels of staff, and a strong management and leadership skill.
