KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE:
- Support execution of Convenience Independent (CI) & Specialist Channel plans, including tactical and critical initiatives.
- Deliver on day-to-day channel KPIs including volume, share, brand coverage, and UOP (Unit of Purchase).
- Manage forecasting, campaign instructions, and back-office operations to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Monitor retailer compliance with trading terms and support the development of call cycle and toolbox strategies.
- Contribute to channel strategy development by analyzing performance data and identifying gaps and opportunities.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, National Field, and Marketing to implement effective channel solutions.
- Own relationships with key support teams, including the National Call Centre and DHL for delivery scheduling and SLA improvements.
- Drive engagement through CI Retailer Programs and ensure communication across internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS AND ESSENTIAL ATTRIBUTES:
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in FMCG, preferably in head office account or category management roles.
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to turn strategic plans into actionable initiatives.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with solid skills in Word, PowerPoint, and general computer use.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience with space planning or market research tools (e.g. Nielsen or Aztec) is a plus.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with proven ability to collaborate across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory practices in highly regulated industries (e.g. tobacco or liquor) is preferred.
