BAT MALAWIIS LOOKING FOR ACORPORATE FINANCEANALYST
SENIORITY LEVEL: Non-Management
FUNCTION: Finance
LOCATION: Blantyre
REPORTS TO: Corporate Finance Manager
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
Provide formal and informal training to the extended functional teams in order to raise financial awareness and understanding. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to resolve problems and enhance the image of the department and company.
Ensure full compliance to the related policies and procedures and appropriate work environment for staff which enables development opportunities and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- AP and GL reconciliation done on a monthly basis and all reconciling item cleared on time and in line with FD Checklist.
- Ensure suppliers credit terms are managed to protect company interests whilst maintaining an excellent credit record with suppliers.
- Perform supplier open items review ahead of the Payment run, execute blocking/ unblocking of documents and submit to FCCS on time and in full.
- Complete the returns for Excise, VAT and Withholding Taxes and ensure payment is performed within the deadlines
- Perform monthly accruals, provisions, payroll journals, related reversals and any other journal on time and in full.
- Monthly reconciliations file creation and submitting to Finance Manager for review.
- Perform quarterly budget review and highlight saving opportunities to management.
- Assist in Depot Stock Management as per the Stock Policy.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Degree/ Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years professional experience in corporate finance, credit, financial planning & analysis, investment banking or other related fields.
- CPA, ACA/ACCA certification is a plus.
- Computer skills in MS Office and ERP System (preferentially SAP).
- Financial modelling and analysis skills
- Ability to communicate fluently and effectively in English
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Good collaboration and interpersonal skills.
