British American Tobacco Romania has an exciting opportunity for an Area Insights & ForesightsManager in Bucharest.
The objective of this role is to build a strong foundation for Foresights capabilities and create an impact in the organization by identifying and exploring emerging trends, opportunities, and risks.
The Area Insights & Foresights Manageridentifies business opportunity on cross category dynamics and further categories’ evolution providing relevant insight on poly-usage behaviours and consumer’s segment derivers/unmet needs. Delivers superior foresights (consumers, customers, products, competition, ex-industry) to help Area Brand team to develop the initiatives master plan to accelerate FMC and New Categories NTO and share growth.
Reports to: Area Integrated Insights & Foresights Senior Manager
Number of Direct Reports: 1-2
Core Relationships:
- Internal – Insights, Information, Consumer Experience & Category teams
- External – External Research Agencies, Advertising Agencies (planner, etc)
Geographic Scope: SEE Area
Travel Required: Minimal
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identify, analyse and interpreting trends, technologies, and market shifts relevant to our business.
- Collaborate with Insights, Information, Consumer Experience & Category teams to gather and synthesize data and insights. These insights will be identified through always-on scanning of secondary studies on shifting consumer values, marketplace signals, and behavioral trends to drive a deep understanding of potentially disruptive forces that will help find opportunities, mitigate risks, and shape our future strategies.
- Develop the comprehensive foresight reports and presentations for stakeholders, including senior management.
- Run scenario planning and opportunity assessments, guide strategic decision-making across the organization.
- Actively participate in continuous learning and development activities to build and maintain expertise in Foresights methodologies and tools.
- Identify insights through observation of digital trends and signals.
What are we looking for?
Experience Required
- 2-5 years of experience in Marketing roles, with a demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex data and to perform strategic thinking and planning, with at least 2 years in managerial role.
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with an aptitude for identifying patterns, trends, and insights from various sources.
- Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, and a willingness to learn and apply Foresights-specific approaches.
- Excellent communication, storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas to diverse audiences. Bonus points for proven advanced data visualization skills.
- Strong collaboration skills and a proactive attitude, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships, passionate and effective about developing people and keeping them motivated though high-pressure fast paced environments.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Business, Economics, Data Analytics, Market Research, Sociology, Anthropology or a similar field).
- Proficiency in English.
